Bellwether approached us with a project to completely overhaul their website. Established in 2011, Bellwether offers a range of professional services to blue-chip clients delivering major infrastructure projects across Australasia. They engaged us to give the brand a total digital refresh, as they felt their website no longer reflected their business or service offering.
We worked closely with the Bellwether team in conceptualising and developing a platform that accurately portrays the company’s capability. We partnered with ShareStory for the development of website photography and videography to showcase the bold and trusted nature that Bellwether was founded upon.
Bellwether Group has two separate divisions: Bellwether Consulting and Bellwether Contractors. This needed to be clearly articulated to the website visitor. We were tasked with creating a two-sided website that kept each business division seperate, but showcased how each division benefitted the other. There was also the task of sorting, filtering and separating a myriad of projects from the past decade.
Creating a new website from head to toe started with a copy interview where we determined Bellwether’s tone of voice. This interview formed the foundation for the entire website copy which was written prior to the design concept.
While the copy was being crafted, we teamed up with the talented content producers at ShareStory. We wanted the website design to showcase striking visuals that demonstrate Bellwether’s extensive capability and service offering. ShareStory produced the banner videos and a content library for us to draw from in our website design.
When it came to the UX/UI design, the goal was to maintain the professional and trusted nature the brand had already established by keeping colours and type choices bold. We developed their custom-built website using WordPress and Elementor. We did this so that it could be handed over and updates such as adding project case studies could be managed by Bellwether’s marketing team.
Key features of the website development include a recruitment software integration (JobAdder), an interactive map featuring all of Bellwether’s projects, and a dual screen splash page to clearly seperate the two divisions of the business.
In the end, the results speak for themselves. Today, Bellwether feels proud about directing clients to its site, because it genuinely reflects the brand and service offering.
With its new website working well, Bellwether can continue building the business and rest assured that the brand is being perceived online just as well as it is represented through the successful delivery of their projects.
We were delighted to have the opportunity to work with the team at Bellwether. The combination of a compelling service offering coupled with our expertise in creating a visually stunning and optimised website, made the project a success.
