Small business SEO for Brisbane is our SEO service tailored to small businesses… in Brisbane obviously. We help small businesses earn themselves more dosh through Google and its results page. Ideally the first page of Google too.
“They are incredibly efficient, deliver high-end results and were transparent and honest throughout the entire process.”
Marcus, Lemans Motors
It’s tailored to small businesses. The biggest difference between small businesses and big businesses is obviously your budget. The size of your team and the resources available to you too, but mostly, that budget thing. So, our small business SEO is an affordable marketing service for small businesses. It means you can start earning yourself the rankings and Google enquiries you’re after, without having to hire an in-house SEO or a big-time SEO company.
By helping you show up where your customers are and selling you better. We’re an SEO agency for small business but we’re also a digital marketing agency with all these different capabilities we can use to help you sell yourself online. It means we don’t just help you rank, we help you look like an appealing website to click on, and then once they’re on the page, we convert them.
As a small business, you’ll be wanting to show up for those local terms. So keywords around the city, suburb, or region you’re working in. We’ll create a clever local SEO campaign for your small business. Through Google My Business optimisation — which we’ll get to in a sec, landing pages, and rewriting your website’s content, we can help you rank for those local terms.
Google received nearly 2.3 trillion searches in 2020
Google My Business is your key to all those Google Listings like Google Maps and Local Packs. We’ll write all new content, create nice graphics, and make you look really good on Google My Business. The new content we write for your listing will be optimised for the local area you’re trying to rank in, then we’ll create optimised content around those key services or products you offer.
Like we’ve said (more times than you know tbh), it’s soooo important to exist on Google, otherwise people won’t know you do at all. And while our digital agency’s SEO services are QUITE good, you won’t rank on the first page of Google as soon as you pay one of our invoices (if we could change that… we would, promise).
The truth is that it takes around three months on average for a new website to rank on Google and slapping a bandaid over your website in the form of content isn’t a solution either. The other truth? MOST SEO campaigns are supported by a Google Ads campaign. All the biggest players pay for Google Ads just like the rest of us — it’s why they’re the biggest players.
Quality content and link building are the two most important signals used by Google when ranking your website

Landing pages are really good at ranking for something specific. Just like this one here. They’re also really good at selling one thing. So, say you’re a Brisbane-based plumber, you might want to rank for ‘Plumber Brisbane’ and ‘Brisbane Plumber’. But, it might also be really beneficial to rank for ‘Emergency Plumbing Brisbane’, ‘Gas Fitter Brisbane’, or ‘Hot Water System Repairs Brisbane’. As we build these landing pages up for your small business, you’ll begin ranking for and selling more of these services.
This is a biggen. We’ll rewrite your website’s existing copy to make sure it’s optimised AF for small business SEO. It means ensuring all your service pages are optimised for their relevant keywords, you’ve taken every advantage you can in your FAQ page, and your contact, about, and home pages are SEO gold. Oh yeah, we’ll make sure the copy sells you too — so you’re set up to make those sales.
When it comes to small business SEO, you can’t go past content marketing. It’s a surefire way to boost those SEO juices, add value for your customers, and position your small business more positively. Content can refer to podcasts, videos, infographics, and way, way more. When we talk about content marketing though — we’re usually talking blog content. We’ll create blog content that’s optimised for SEO but still makes your biz look as cool as it is.
Google Ads is THE way to get the ball rolling on that small business SEO campaign. Our PPC and Google Ads experts will team up with you to start sending that traffic through to your website. Google Ads is like SEO’s best friend. It works by getting a steady flow of traffic moving to your website. Once Google notices all these people have visited and interacted with your page and they’ve stayed on the page — it gives you a bit of authority, which helps Google decide to start giving you some of those sweet, sweet rankings.
So, once you start ranking on Google, links to your website will come up on that Google results page. Your CTR or Click Through Rate is the rate people are choosing to click through to your website at. We can optimise this by making your website look as legit, fancy, or useful as we possibly can. This way we encourage plenty of traffic to go through to your site — and hopefully encourage them to buy your services or products too.

Search engine optimisation is how we optimise websites to rank (show up) on search engines like Google, and even Bing and Yahoo if you’re into it. SEO is how we make your website show up in the listings when someone searches a key term for one of your services or for one of your service areas.
SEO covers a bunch of different techniques that all come together to create a strong, authoritative website for you that has a high chance of ranking on search engines. SEO covers keyword research, SEO copywriting, SEO auditing, link building, CTR optimisation, and a whole heap more.
Basically, to index (list) all the right results when we search a term, search engines need to crawl websites to work out what they’re about, and index them accordingly.
They take in a number of factors, like the authority of your website, how much content you have, and a whole bunch more. This way when you’re searching for “directions to Chermside” you won’t just receive a bunch of pages like “chermside restaurants”, “chermside car parks”, or even “directions to Gladstone”.
So, SEO works by taking a multi-pronged approach to optimising your website so search engines can crawl it and index it properly.
This includes making sure your website is built and organised logically and structured in the correct way. We’ll optimise each page’s URLs, we’ll look at the title of the page, the words on the page, the keyword density. Then we’ll make sure the images and their alt texts are optimised for SEO. And that’s just some of the on-page techniques.
Our SEOs also work to try and get links back to your website. This might involve some digital PR, some influencer marketing, or guest blogging (white hat only, of course).
SEO works by putting together a whole series of techniques to help search engines find you.
Honestly, strap in. SEO requires patience and consistency. For a brand new website, you’ll be looking at three months at the very minimum to begin ranking on Google. And, not to discourage you, but that’s to start ranking, not to rank #1 for ALL OF THE KEYWORDS. Trust us, we’re more bummed about this than you are.
Don’t feel discouraged though. The sooner you get on the small business SEO train, the further ahead of your competition you’ll be.
